The new Slash Cry Baby Classic Pedal now in at Bandshop....
9th July 2012
Bandshop have just taken stock of one of the most talked about guitar effects pedals of the year, the Slash Cry Baby Classic. Jim Dunlop worked very closely with the artist so as to ensure that they could replicate the incredible sound that has become synonymous with Slash throughout his career.
About the artist
Slash is without a doubt one of the best guitarists of his generation, and was recently voted the 65th greatest guitarist of all time in a recent poll by www.rollingstone.com.
Perhaps most famous for his work with Guns N Roses, Slash created a unique style of hard rock guitar playing which was also heavily influenced by the blues to create the sound behind one of the biggest Rock N Roll bands of all time.
During his time with G N R, slash wrote some of the most popular riffs of the 90’s including “ Welcome to the Jungle”, “Sweet Child O’Mine” and of course “November Rain” where he played that infamous mountaintop solo.
After the demise of the original line up of Guns N Roses Slash went on to form Slash’s snake pit, and then joined his former Guns N Roses band mate Duff Mckagan in the heavy rock band Velvet Revolver. Most recently Slash has decided to go it alone and has created two solo albums, the first of which he collaborated with some of the biggest singers in the industry.
No matter what band Slash has played in he has always managed to keep his incredibly unique and gritty sound which you can now replicate thanks to Jim Dunlop.
The Slash Cry Baby Classic effects pedal is tuned to a lower frequency which means you are offered a huge dynamic range and wide sweep that features a custom-wound resonance inductor. As you would expect from Dunlop this effects pedal is made of only the highest quality components and is housed in a heavy duty die-cast casing, which is decorated in artwork from the man himself and looks superb with the distressed paint job.
The pedal also has two blue LEDs mounted on to the side indicating whether it is switched on or off, which is viewable from any angle, allowing you to know when the effect is switched on.
Sound like Slash today
If you have ever dreamed of being able to create a sound as gritty and unique as Slash, then we highly recommend you check this effects pedal out today, we’re sure you wont regret it.
